Registration (User-Supplied Information)
Dazos.com site registration systems require users to give Dazos contact information such as their name and e-mail address, and demographic information such as organization and/or role. The user’s contact information is used to contact the user when necessary. Users may choose (opt-in) to receive future mailings; see the choice/opt-in section below. When visitors use a Contact form on the site we collect the data shown and filled into the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
If you do not want cookies to be set on your device, you can adjust the setting of your Internet browser to reject the setting of all or some cookies and to alert you when a cookie is placed on your device. If you want to remove previously-stored cookies, you can manually delete the cookies at any time. However, this will not prevent this Site from placing further cookies on your device unless and until you adjust your Internet browser setting as described above.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Dazos may use Google Analytics and other site traffic analysis tools to understand Dazos.com’s site usage. Site usage information is used to help design, develop, and support Dazos.com. To the extent Dazos uses Google Analytics, Google receives and stores Dazos.com’s contributed site usage information (such as pages accessed), but it does not receive any individually identifiable or sensitive information as a part of this process. If you do not want data collected by Google Analytics, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available on Google’s website.
Who we share your data with
Dazos does not share your data with any third party, unless the sharing of that data is required in order to provide active users with the service that said active users have signed up for and require the use of third party integrations.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile for as long as the user’s account is active and up to 72 months thereafter account cancellation. All active users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time.
Dazos.com has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under Dazos’s control. Dazos employs strict security measures to safeguard online transactions. All personal information is stored in a secured database.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
